Professional Counseling Workshops
This week, the Continuing Education department is hosting Professional Counseling Workshops. The first of these workshops will take place on Thursday August 20th 2009, from 9AM-4PM. Workshop #1-Teaching Bravery: Fostering Autonomy and Resilience in Children and Teens with Intense Fears and Anxiety is designed to help parents and professionals recognize and deal with symptoms of extreme anxiety in children and adolescents. The second workshop will take place on Friday August 21st 2009 from 9AM-4PM. Workshop #2-The Bridge From Rage to Reason guides clinicians, social workers and educators through a step-by-step process of teaching individuals to identify the emotional triggers and physical sensations leading up to extreme anger. These workshops will be lead by Joyce Divinyi.
